Hello there, my friends!

PLEASE FILL OUT THIS SURVEY.

Would be a huge help if you took a few minutes to give me some thoughtful feedback to plan the year of zines ahead.

I want to improve the zine based on what you like and don’t like. I also want to know if you’d be interested in subscribing, like a magazine, versus buying a new one each time. And there’s a few other questions, too.

To show my love and appreciation: One random respondent will win a first print of zine one. Another random respondent will win a free shirt or hat. And I’ll email anyone who fills it out a 10% off code for the January merchandise store. Please respond by Friday, November 22nd, to be considered.

Other general updates

• The next zine #5 Fall ‘24 will be out in early January, as it covers through New Year’s Eve.

• Second prints of issues 1–3 will be available on Black Friday, which I’m calling “Back Friday,” because I’m making back issues of the zine available. Ha-ha. The store will be open for a week or two. I will email this list when they are ready!

• All zines ordered before this week have been mailed. If you suspect yours to be lost, please let me know on conductor@trainsongz.net.

• My biggest priority right now is improving zine shipping processes. They are too slow, because it’s too manual. We’ve sold over 2,000 of the last two issues, and 3,500 people have ordered at least one zine, which is awesome, but it’s a lot for one or two people to mail and not make mistakes. We’re going to work with a professional mailing house, where we hand them the zines and the stickers and they handle the actual printing, stuffing, and mailing process at least for the first big chunk of orders. They’ll have better order tracking, and everyone should get their zine in a more timely matter. It’ll cost about $1 more per order, but I think it’s a worthwhile change.

• Zine crossword answers are here, for my puzzle freaks.

• We’ll be taking photo and scanned ephemera submissions to include in future zines. Stay tuned for details.

• I’m to look for sponsors for the next zine. If you or someone you know has a business and would be interested in sponsoring, please reach out to conductor@trainsongz.net.

That’s all I got for today! Have a great one.
