I’d like to thank all 574 of you who picked up a zine in the first 36 hours. I know it was the same day as a Billy ticket on-sale, and I’m honored you’d spend some of your hard-earned money to support the zine.

(We’ve still got plenty left, so don’t fret if you need some time to recharge before making another purchase.)

Fixed site issues

We launched a new website! I think it went alarmingly well. We had a few small issues, and our fantastic developer Ethan has fixed those:

• Individual zines: We had an error when buying an individual zine for less than $11. $5-10 works now!

• If you’d like to request a free zine, scroll to the bottom of the page to fill out the form. For every 10 sales, we give one for free.

• Subscriptions: A “404 error” when checking out purchasing a subscription.

  • Subscriptions are on sale for $33 to $99.

  • (There’s also a form on the sub page to request a free sub, and we’ll give out 1 for every 10 paid.)

  • Pay once, and you’re good for all four zines this year

  • Your zines will ship sooner

  • Your zine will be hand-numbered

  • Soon, but not yet, you’ll have a referral program to get rewarded for bringing friends onto this print media train

  • You’ll get free shipping on merchandise

  • Your up-front investment will allow for me and the rest of the zine-team to have some extra funds for the future

I forgot to mention this yesterday, but anyone who buys a subscription or an individual zine is automatically entered to win:

Contributor shoutout

I forgot to shout out Allison K. @allisonismyhero and Liz Evey @abble.yuice in yesterday’s email alongside the rest of our contributors. That’s my fault! They both brought some really cool illustrations to the zine, and I’m excited for you to see them.

Merchandise store

I’m going to wait a few weeks to launch the store, either January 24th or 31st. Updates to follow. Things will be bigger, better, and faster this year thanks to my partnership with Forest City Press.
