Hello!

Our store is open, and will remain open for pre-orders until Friday, September 4th. As a reminder, we only sell merchandise to those who get the zine and all profits from merchandise are reinvested back into our zine-slinging operations.

Shirts are $30, hats are $25. There’s also a letter opener in there for $10, if you want to toss that in. We’re offering the Locomotive Engineering shirt dyed, and that’s $25 extra — all proceeds go to The Doodah Man Dyes.

It’s important to us to keep this stuff affordable, and we aren’t going for huge profits with any merchandise we sell. You already subscribe to the zine, so we think of the store more as a perk of being part of Train Songz than anything else.

Remember, these are all pre-orders. We don’t have the space — and we can’t afford — to print a bunch of stuff in advance, warehouse it, and ship it when ready. So thank you for your patience; I think you can expect to get your order in late September.

We’re launching our first Train Songz subscriber survey of the year. It should take about five minutes, and we would really, really appreciate you filling it out.

We’ll read every single response. We want to know what you’re enjoying, what you want more or less of, and where we should focus our time, money, and energy as we plan future issues. There’s also a chance to share some love with the artists and contributors whose work you’ve enjoyed — we’ll make sure those kind words get back to them.

We spend a lot of time trying to make each issue something we’re proud to send you, but you’re the ones on the other end actually reading it. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us.
