Hello there!

Quick, optional homework assignment:

FILL OUT THIS QUESTIONNAIRE.

I’m asking you about summer tour:

• What show(s) you attended

• Favorite show

• Favorite old-timey cover

• Favorite jam

I also want to know everyone’s favorite bluegrass album.

I’m thinking of aggregating everyone’s responses and featuring them in the zine and a nugs* playlist. Probably. Maybe? No promises. I’m making this entire operation up as I go, but that’s my goal. Love a goal.

* nugs is hyperlinked because I get 15 dollars if you join using my link. I will happily shill for nugs because I use it daily. don’t join because of that, but if you are considering it, I appreciate if you use the link.

While I have you: The zine is available to order 9-13! (It will start shipping around 9-20, but the lower numbers will go to early orders and I want to get a sense of demand by opening up orders a week before I’m ready to ship.)

Will I lose a bunch of people by asking for a contribution up front? Or will a more order because it seems more legit? Time will tell…I’m planning on printing around 3,500 this time. Last time I sold out of 2,750. Before that 1,500 of the second. And the first batch 550…

• Please email me back if you have a suggestion of how many editions to print this time around!

You got this email, which means you are on the email list. You’ll be the first to know when I email the order link out here! (Great work.)

If you want to help me out by growing this quarterly Billy-plus-bluegrass print media experiment, you can encourage a friend-in-Billy to sign up for emails by sending them this link:

That’s all for now. See you September 13th! Lots to do between now and then. And the train keeps rolling…
