đźš‚ TRAIN SONGZ IN ASHEVILLE
Hello there!
This email is mostly—but not exclusively—for any of you lucky enough to be in Asheville this weekend! (We’ll send another next week with information about weekend two.)
I have a list and links at the bottom of the email of local businesses stocking the zine for free, so please go check them out and support the businesses! Asheville is still recovering from Helene, and two Billy Strings weekends is a big economic event for the city. Be kind…and shop/eat/drink local!
BMFSDB non-profit help?
Before we get into Asheville, I want to plug that the BMFSDB team is interested in exploring registering as a non-profit (as phish.net is) to build on its tradition of being a non-commercial setlist database by the fans, for the fans…as it has always been. If you know anything about non-profit registration, please reach out by replying to this email!
And if you’re like me on the couch tonight, join us on BMFSDB for live setlist updates. (Those are fan-run, too! All you need is an account. Most people usually beat me to ID’ing the song. It’s fun.)
Train Songz In Ashville!
Now, for the main course…
Here are all the businesses who have agreed to have a free stack of zines out. Even if you don’t want to grab a zine, please go support them and say thank you for me!
🗺️ P.S. If you’re a Google Maps user, you can check out Train Mapz to see all the places and venues in Asheville stocking the zine! Just follow that link.

One last plug for Train Mapz!
Zines might also be at Jack of the Wood, but tbd!
🎙️ For any podcast heads out there, Promontory Paul and I went on What’s The Reason For This? to talk about our first year making the zine and why we love print media. They invited us on, and we figured it would be a great way to get the word out about the zine to some fans outside of our Instagram bubble. The episode will be out tomorrow! (As they say: “You either die a hero, or live long enough to be a podcast guest.”)
Peace and love!
