Two quick things in today’s email:

1. Reminder that the Train Shop will close in a week. Preorders will ship about a month after production — or longer if you get a tie-dye. All merchandise proceeds ($10–15 profit per item) are re-invested into the zine operation, which goes towards paying artists and investing in fun ideas like working with bands. Shirts are printed by Forest City Press and hats are embroidered by First Train We Can Ride, both friends in Billy. If it’s possible to do business within “the scene,” we do it.

We are sitting at 986 paying annual subscribers. The zine goes to upwards of 1500 people, since some folks buy individual copies and we also give free zines away to those who apply. But annual paying subscribers is the main stat I’m focused on for the health of the zine audience, because that’s the highest level of support.

If you subscribe today for $33–$99 annually, you’ll get #5 and #6 as soon as we can mail ‘em, and you’ll get #7 and #8 as soon as they come out.
